Sales Support Intern – Uganda

About the role

The Sales Support Intern will work under the Uganda Sales Manager, providing administrative and analytical assistance to the sales team. This position offers practical exposure to maritime sales, customer service, and commercial operations within the Ugandan market.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the North Corridor sales team with daily customer queries and follow‑ups.
• Support digital account handling and eBusiness‑related activities.
• Prepare basic sales performance, customer call, and commercial summary reports.
• Help compile booking forecasts and allocate shipments for Uganda trade corridors.
• Track and escalate customer sales issues to relevant teams.
• Gather information for dispute resolution, credit, and collection follow‑up.
• Coordinate internally between sales, booking, documentation, finance, and other departments.
• Promote CMA CGM eBusiness platforms and value‑added services to customers.
• Participate in sales meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items.
• Provide administrative support during high‑workload periods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Commerce, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Interest in Uganda trade, logistics, shipping, and inland transport corridors.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and work collaboratively.
