Sales Team Lead

About the role

The Sales Team Lead will be based on‑site in Kampala, overseeing a sales team for Platinum Credit Limited, a micro‑finance provider. This full‑time role focuses on driving individual and group sales performance while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and motivate a sales team to meet and exceed targets.
• Plan, execute and monitor sales activities, pipeline and conversion rates.
• Prepare regular performance reports for management.
• Support team members during client meetings and resolve escalated customer issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
• Collaborate with senior management on sales strategies and training initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven sales expertise including prospecting, negotiation and closing.
• Effective team‑management experience: coaching, performance monitoring and motivation.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with relationship‑management skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
• Analytical capability to interpret sales data, forecast performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Relevant experience in financial services or micro‑finance sales leadership.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field (preferred).
• Integrity, ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
