Salesperson – Insurance Solutions

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Salesperson position is based in Kampala and focuses on helping clients identify their financial protection needs. You will recommend appropriate insurance solutions and support customers throughout the policy lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new clients and schedule face‑to‑face meetings.
• Conduct client meetings, present insurance products and prepare quotations.
• Follow up leads to close sales and achieve individual targets.
• Maintain accurate sales records and track performance against team goals.
• Provide ongoing customer service and policy support after sale.
• Collaborate with colleagues, attend training sessions and represent Prudential Uganda at client visits and promotional events.

Required profile

• Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients.
• Basic financial literacy and the ability to explain insurance concepts clearly.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills for handling multiple client engagements.
• Comfortable using digital tools such as email, office software and CRM systems.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and able to work effectively in an on‑site environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field preferred; relevant sales experience in financial services or insurance is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM or sales tracking systems.
• Competence in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
