About the role

Provide students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them reach their intellectual, emotional, physical and social potential. The teacher will develop competencies and skills that enable students to function successfully in society.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, incorporating accommodations for diverse learning styles.
• Assess student learning, use results to plan instructional activities, and collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed.
• Manage classroom environment, enforce the Student Code of Conduct, and supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Communicate regularly with parents, principals and colleagues, and participate in staff development and faculty meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements for the subject and grade level.
• Knowledge of the assigned subjects, curriculum, and instructional strategies.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to manage student behavior.
