About the role
The Halton District School Board is offering a Long‑Term Occasional (LTO) secondary contract for the 2026‑2027 school year in Technological Education – Construction. The position is classified as a senior construction technology teaching role and will be filled on a part‑time basis (0.33, 0.67 or 1.0 FTE) as needed.
The role is offered as a Long‑Term Occasional contract with flexible full‑time equivalent (FTE) options: 0.33, 0.67 or 1.0 FTE, starting as soon as possible and running through October 2026.
Required profile
- Hold both Intermediate and Senior qualifications in Technological Education, combined with at least two different senior teachable subjects.
- Provide a Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to employment.
- Maintain a valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate in good standing.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Brightspace and online learning platforms (considered an asset).
