Senior Data Engineer – Cloud Native Platforms

About the role

We are looking for a senior data engineer to lead the design, development, and operation of scalable, cloud‑native data platforms. You will work across the full data lifecycle, from gathering business requirements to delivering production‑ready pipelines that power AI/ML and analytics initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement batch and real‑time data pipelines using Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, and AWS native services.
• Lead end‑to‑end data engineering projects, including data ingestion, transformation (ETL/ELT), quality, and delivery.
• Build and optimise cloud‑native solutions leveraging AWS S3, Lambda, Glue, ECS, EMR, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Develop modular ELT frameworks with dbt and enforce best practices in data modelling, governance, and metadata management.
• Implement observability and monitoring using Datadog, CloudWatch, and custom alerting.
• Drive CI/CD and DevOps standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and evaluate emerging technologies for AI/ML data pipelines.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, product owners, and security teams to deliver secure, compliant, and highly available data solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and software development.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale data platform projects.
