Senior Lecturer – Computer Science & Mechatronics Engineering

About the role

The University seeks a Senior Lecturer to teach and research in Computer Science and Mechatronics Engineering. The role combines undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervision of research projects, and active participation in curriculum development and industry engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, labs, tutorials and assessments for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, integrating e‑learning and digital tools.
• Supervise student research projects, master’s dissertations and doctoral work, guiding proposal development and ethical compliance.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish peer‑reviewed papers, and develop competitive research funding proposals.
• Contribute to competence‑based curriculum design, update course materials, and mentor junior academic staff.
• Build partnerships with industry and professional bodies to support internships, practical training and knowledge exchange.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a closely related field with a strong AI/automation focus.
• Minimum three years of university teaching experience at lecturer level, or willingness to start at a lower rank.
• At least two recent peer‑reviewed publications and an active research agenda.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate theory with practical applications through labs, prototyping or industry projects.
• Committed practising Christian aligned with the university’s mission and values.
