Senior Lecturer – Geotechnical & Civil Engineering

About the role

The University seeks a Senior Lecturer to teach and conduct research in Geotechnical, Foundation, Civil and Structural Engineering at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The role involves curriculum development, student supervision, and active participation in the academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials in allocated engineering subjects.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects.
• Develop and update course syllabi, learning materials, and assessment tools.
• Conduct research, publish in international journals, and secure external funding.
• Engage with professional bodies and contribute to departmental committees.

Required profile

• PhD in Geotechnical Engineering, Foundation Engineering, Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum three years of university teaching experience at Lecturer rank.
• At least two peer‑reviewed publications in internationally recognised journals.
• Commitment to Christian values and the university’s code of conduct.
