Senior QA Engineer

About the role

Educate! is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to champion quality across its technology products that serve millions of young people in East Africa. You will work closely with product owners and engineers to define "done," execute hands‑on testing, and embed a culture where quality is a shared responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owners to establish clear acceptance criteria and definition of done.
• Design, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test suites.
• Conduct functional, regression, performance, and exploratory testing on web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects; work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Define and evolve QA standards, processes, and best practices across the technology team.
• Mentor junior QA staff and promote a quality‑first mindset throughout the organization.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in a fast‑moving, impact‑driven environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for delivering reliable, user‑centric products.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
