About the role
The Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) Officer will provide technical leadership for integrating SRHR, gender equality, disability inclusion, safeguarding and life‑skills programming into the Youth Resilience Project in Kasese District. The role ensures that SRHR barriers to youth employment and enterprise are addressed across all project pathways.
Key responsibilities
- Lead implementation of SRHR, gender, safeguarding and social inclusion interventions within the Youth Resilience Project.
- Develop and roll‑out SRHR and Gender Integration Packages for employers and TVET institutions.
- Coordinate youth‑friendly SRHR awareness activities in communities, training centres and workplaces.
- Build capacity of employers, TVET instructors, apprenticeship supervisors and community structures on youth‑friendly SRHR, gender‑responsive programming and safeguarding.
- Establish and strengthen referral pathways between youth, health facilities, employers and TVET institutions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, midwifery, community health, social sciences or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience implementing SRHR or adolescent sexual and reproductive health programmes.
- Experience integrating SRHR into youth livelihoods, education or employment programmes.
- Proven ability to conduct training, capacity strengthening and stakeholder coordination.
