Ship's Store Supervisor – Retail & Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Ship's Store Supervisor will lead daily retail and warehousing activities for a US Navy program, ensuring smooth operations, accurate inventory, and excellent customer service. Reporting to the Ship’s Store Service Activities Supervisor, you will manage staff, enforce Navy supply standards, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day retail and warehouse operations, including stocking, rotation, and inventory maintenance.
• Supervise receipt, storage, and distribution of goods in line with Navy policies.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service and address patron needs promptly.
• Monitor compliance with Navy regulations, safety protocols, and operational instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and expenses.
• Train, schedule, and coordinate store and warehouse staff to ensure adequate coverage.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficiency and compliance.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on sales and inventory for senior supervision.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience managing a Navy supply system or a retail operation.
• Strong understanding of retail and warehouse processes, including loss prevention.
• Knowledge of Navy supply system policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to lead, train and motivate staff.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
