SIPPS Reading Tutor – Teacher Assistant

About the role

The school is seeking a Teacher Assistant who will serve as a SIPPS Reading Tutor for grades K‑6. You will receive training in the SIPPS reading intervention program and work with small groups of students to improve literacy skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities.
• Prepare and organize class materials and reading resources.
• Deliver SIPPS reading lessons to small groups of students.
• Record and track student progress and assignment completion.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years (48 semester hours) of post‑secondary education, an associate’s degree, or ability to pass the Utah State Office of Education Para‑Professional Test.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Basic secretarial or clerical skills; computer use may be required.
