Site Nurse – Occupational Health

About the role

The Site Nurse will deliver occupational health and nursing services directly at the workplace, providing first‑aid, basic medical care, health education and emergency response for employees. This role supports injury prevention, promotes wellbeing and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first aid and emergency care to employees who are injured or become ill on site.
• Assess and manage occupational injuries and illnesses, determining the appropriate level of medical attention.
• Conduct health assessments, monitor work‑related health concerns and maintain accurate medical records.
• Deliver health education on hygiene, nutrition, communicable diseases and occupational health topics.
• Identify health‑related hazards, advise management on control measures and support injury‑prevention initiatives.
• Coordinate referrals and follow‑ups with external health facilities.
• Participate in emergency preparedness drills and respond to medical emergencies.
• Monitor health trends and prepare periodic reports on injuries, illnesses and first‑aid cases.

Required profile

• Certificate in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of occupational health, safety regulations and workplace health risks.

Required skills

• First aid and emergency response.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with electronic health/record‑keeping systems.
