About the role
You will strengthen the generation, analysis and use of evidence to inform policies and programmes that improve outcomes for children in Uganda. The role includes coordination of MICS and Violence Against Children surveys and integration of beneficiary data with social protection programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Improve data on child poverty and vulnerability for policy and programme action.
- Strengthen social protection coverage and impact for children.
- Enhance the use of public financial resources for child‑focused investments.
- Build capacity of local governments to plan, budget, consult on and monitor child‑focused social services.
- Foster advocacy and partnerships for child‑sensitive social policy.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Data Science, Operational Research, Public Policy or related fields.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in social policy, child poverty, public finance, survey research or policy analysis.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
- Experience working in a developing country is considered a strong asset.
