Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Space Applications Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The role focuses on developing, deploying and promoting Earth Observation (EO) services and applications that leverage Copernicus data to address climate, environmental and development challenges across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver EO services and applications using Copernicus data and products.
• Support policy dialogue, knowledge exchange and capacity building with African institutions.
• Promote uptake of EO solutions in sectors such as early warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water management and biodiversity.
• Collaborate with project partners to ensure alignment with AESPP objectives and sustainability goals.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO applications, preferably with Copernicus data.
• Experience working with African institutions or facilitating user uptake is an asset.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of French or Portuguese is a plus.
