Stock Controller

About the role

The Stock Controller will manage inventory levels, ensuring that the company maintains adequate stock to meet demand. This role combines hands‑on receipt inspection with accurate record‑keeping and reporting to support efficient supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee purchase, replenishment and maintenance of stock in company stores.
• Maintain accurate electronic and manual inventory records in line with best practices.
• Supervise warehouse and storeroom organization, ensuring health and safety standards.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory counts.
• Generate routine stock performance data and monthly reconciliation reports.
• Lead the stores team to complete timely and accurate stock takes.
• Inspect incoming goods for quality and confirm delivery documentation.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Business Computing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum two years of experience in a busy private‑sector environment with inventory management exposure.
• High degree of integrity and ability to handle audit queries.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Tally ERP (desirable).
