Student Support Officer

About the role

The Student Support Officer is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Kampala. You will be the first point of contact for students, helping them navigate administrative and academic processes while ensuring a positive university experience.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to student inquiries via phone, email, and in‑person channels.
• Maintain accurate student records and update the student information system.
• Provide basic technical assistance for university platforms and online portals.
• Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to resolve student issues.
• Support orientation events and ongoing student engagement activities.
• Monitor student needs, identify trends, and suggest improvements to support services.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Analytical ability to interpret student data and recommend enhancements.
• Basic technical support aptitude for digital tools.
• Experience in student services or education administration is a plus.
• Diploma or degree in education, social sciences, administration, or related field preferred.
