Team Leader – Packaging

About the role

The Team Leader – Packaging will oversee packaging operations at the Namanve Plant in Kampala, reporting directly to the Unit Manager, Packaging. This role is responsible for driving production performance while maintaining high standards of product quality, equipment reliability, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all packaging activities to achieve and exceed production targets.
• Ensure product quality and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Manage and develop the packaging team to deliver consistent performance.
• Identify and resolve operational problems promptly.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives across the packaging function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading packaging or production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.
• Ability to meet performance targets and drive operational efficiency.
• Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and team‑leadership capabilities.
