Technology Applications Teacher (Grades 7-8) – 2026-27

About the role

The Technology Applications Teacher for grades 7‑8 will design and deliver learning activities that support students’ intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. The role focuses on developing students’ competencies in technology while fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency guidelines.
• Adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and special‑education needs, collaborating on IEPs as required.
• Assess student learning through formal and informal testing and use results to refine instructional strategies.
• Integrate technology tools to enhance teaching and learning processes.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers, and oversee extracurricular activities approved by the principal.
• Maintain classroom safety, manage student behavior, and protect school resources.
• Communicate regularly with parents, students, and staff through conferences and written updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements.
• Strong knowledge of the assigned subject matter and general curriculum standards.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
