Technology Education Teacher (Grades 7-8) – 2026-27

About the role

The Technology Education Teacher will deliver engaging, standards‑based instruction to grades 7‑8, fostering intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The role includes curriculum planning, student assessment, and collaboration with special‑education staff to meet diverse learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with Texas Education Agency standards and district curriculum.
• Assess student learning styles and adapt instruction, including accommodations for special‑education students per IEPs.
• Use technology and appropriate instructional materials to support diverse learning needs.
• Manage classroom environment, behavior, and safety in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
• Communicate regularly with parents, principals, and staff, and supervise teacher aides and volunteers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the assigned subject and grade level.
• Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with special‑education staff and supervise support personnel.
