Unit Manager – Insurance Sales

About the role

The Unit Manager will lead a team of sales agents to distribute individual life insurance products in the Kamwokya area. You will be responsible for driving sales performance, coaching agents, and ensuring the unit meets its targets while maintaining high product knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and retain a motivated team of sales agents.
• Coordinate the distribution of individual life insurance products within the unit.
• Conduct market analysis, suggest product improvements, and advise the Agency Manager.
• Achieve and exceed unit sales targets.
• Provide ongoing product and procedural training to agents.
• Design and implement promotional activities to raise product awareness.
• Monitor agent performance and maintain high motivation levels.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
• Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance or a related sales/marketing qualification (preferred).
• Valid IRA Agent License.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and supervisory abilities.
• Clear understanding of life assurance concepts.
