Vehicle Cleaner & Detailer

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Vehicle Cleaner & Detailer to join our hospitality team in Kampala. You will be responsible for keeping all guest and company vehicles spotless, safe and ready for use while providing excellent service to our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to and from the cleaning area and park them in designated locations.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for cleanliness, damage and compliance with standards.
• Select and apply appropriate cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment in line with OSHA and corporate guidelines.
• Clean, detail and polish vehicle interiors, exteriors and windows using brushes, scrapers, vacuums, hoses, pressure washers and air compressors.
• Rinse, dry and store cleaned items using cloths, squeegees or drying racks.
• Maintain, lubricate and store cleaning tools and equipment.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests, report maintenance issues and document any vehicle incidents.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, including uniform standards and guest service protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 10 lb, standing for long periods and moving on uneven surfaces.
• Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and complete required training.

Required skills

• Vehicle cleaning and detailing techniques.
• Use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
• Operation of vacuums, pressure washers and air compressors.
• Basic preventative maintenance of cleaning tools.
