Water Treatment System Technician

About the role

The Water Treatment System Technician supports Jibu’s franchise network by ensuring water treatment equipment operates reliably and meets quality standards. Working within the Production & Quality department, the technician provides hands‑on technical service, training, and continuous improvement for all franchise sites in Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to technical service requests from franchises.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot water treatment systems and related facility equipment.
• Implement and monitor operational and quality‑control processes, providing training to local operators.
• Conduct regular franchise visits, quality audits, and ensure compliance with Jibu standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support the JibuCo lab with sample collection, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of audit programs, quality status, and corrective measures.
• Develop and coordinate a preventive maintenance program for all Ugandan franchises.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in water engineering or water treatment.
• Ability to work autonomously and travel to franchise locations as needed.
