Welding Teacher (Grades 9-12) – 2026-27

About the role

The Welding Teacher will provide students in grades 9‑12 with learning activities designed to develop their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The role focuses on enabling students to acquire competencies and skills needed for successful participation in society and the welding industry.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct assigned classes, develop and implement curriculum plans, and adapt lessons for individual student differences.
• Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and manage classroom time to maximize achievement.
• Collaborate with staff to plan instructional goals, maintain a positive learning environment, and participate in faculty meetings and committees.
• Maintain equipment, compile required reports, and ensure safety of materials and facilities.
• Assist students with study methods, assess performance, and maintain discipline according to district policies.
• Supervise student teachers, educational assistants, and volunteers, and administer standardized tests as required.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate, eligibility for alternative certification, or local teaching permit.
• Welding industry experience (required) and documented automotive technology experience per Arlington ISD guidelines.
