Adjunct Faculty – Allied Health Sciences

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Adjunct Faculty member for the Allied Health Sciences department at Austin Community College. The instructor will deliver prerequisite and corequisite courses that prepare students for health‑science degrees and certificates, serving both high‑school and community‑college learners through in‑person and online formats.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging course content aligned with ACC curricula and accreditation standards.
• Employ culturally responsive teaching practices to support diverse student populations, including first‑generation and low‑income learners.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with department faculty to continuously improve instructional materials and strategies.
• Adhere to college policies, professional faculty standards, and Texas domicile requirements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to student success and equitable access to education.
• Experience teaching health‑science or related subjects at the post‑secondary level.
• Ability to work effectively in both classroom and virtual environments.
• Willingness to maintain a Texas domicile for the duration of employment.

Required skills
