About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the PROTECT SRHR Project. You will be the primary point of contact for program staff, handling day‑to‑day administrative tasks and ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and follow up on office purchases and payment requests for the PROTECT SRHR sector.
- Manage program and office supplies, including receiving items and issuing release orders.
- Support managers by reviewing weekly PR tracking sheets and developing quarterly procurement plans.
- Liaise between program, supply chain, finance, and HR to meet program requirements.
- Organise a filing system for confidential documents and maintain the program calendar.
- Book and schedule meeting or training venues, and coordinate in‑house and external events.
- Ensure staff submit timesheets on time and share relevant information with HR/Admin.
- Communicate staff welfare concerns to HR and share documentation gaps with M&E and program teams.
- Represent PROTECT SRHR in coordination meetings and support monthly data entry into project tools.
- Perform any other duties as required by the program.
Required profile
- University degree in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative experience.
- Experience supporting development programmes or projects is an advantage.
- Ability to work in teams, solve problems, prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and handle pressure.
- Previous experience with an international NGO in a cross‑cultural environment.
