Afterschool Teacher

About the role

Cadence Education is seeking a passionate Afterschool Teacher to join its early‑childhood team. You will work under the guidance of the School Director and Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for preschool‑aged children, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs).

Key responsibilities

• Support daily classroom operations and maintain consistent routines.
• Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Greet children and families, building welcoming and professional relationships.
• Recognize and respond to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, following IEPs and behavior support plans.
• Document and report accidents, incidents, and behavioral observations according to Cadence policies.
• Communicate with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence‑approved tools.

Required profile

• Experience in childcare, daycare, or early‑childhood education.
• Ability to work with diverse children, including those with IEPs.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful classroom environment.
• Willingness to follow safety, licensing, and company policies.
