Agency Recruitment Officer – Training & Talent Acquisition

About the role

The Agency Recruitment Officer will report to the Head of Agency Recruitment and lead the training and talent acquisition function at Prudential’s Jinja Branch. The role combines sourcing, screening, onboarding and training of new agents to support the branch’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate training programmes including new‑agent onboarding, rookie development, agency leadership and specialised Pru Academy sessions.
• Conduct branch training needs analysis, schedule boiler‑room sessions and develop partial training content.
• Source potential recruits, guide applicants through the online recruitment portal and organise Business Opportunity Presentations.
• Identify manpower needs, promote recruitment through social media, career fairs, industry events and university partnerships.
• Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, manage assessments (e.g., numeracy and grit tests) and shortlist candidates for hiring managers.
• Promote agency culture, benefits and career paths; create recruitment flyers with marketing and run recruitment sessions with agency leaders.
• Ensure candidates meet licensing and regulatory requirements (e.g., ITC, IRA Uganda) and manage background and qualification checks.
• Support onboarding training, facilitate smooth transition for new interns and track recruitment metrics such as time‑to‑fill.
