Agricultural Operations Manager

About the role

The Agricultural Operations Manager will lead the planning, coordination and execution of all farm‑related activities for OFAGROS LIMITED. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role ensures that client farms operate efficiently, profitably and in compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement cost‑effective operational processes and improve management systems.
• Coordinate with marketing teams to meet clients and close new deals.
• Purchase farm inputs, manage inventory and oversee client farm operations.
• Ensure legal compliance of all agricultural activities.
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives for the organization.
• Analyse farm financial data to enhance profitability.
• Prepare and monitor farm budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct quality controls and track production KPIs.
• Recruit, train and supervise farm staff.
• Identify ways to improve customer service quality and experience.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in agricultural extension services or a similar agricultural role.
• Proven experience as an agricultural officer with strong knowledge of operations management.
• Demonstrated ability in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Degree in Agri‑Business, agricultural management or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and local languages (Luganda, Runyankore, Rukiga, Kiswahili, etc.).
• Leadership capability to mentor teams and drive best practices.
