Area Business Manager

About the role

The Area Business Manager will lead d.light's sales activities across a defined territory, driving revenue, sales and collections for PAYGO and portable products. This role requires strong field presence, partnership building and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure visibility and availability of d.light products in the assigned territory.
• Plan and execute market activations, product launches and outlet growth initiatives.
• Manage and coordinate Territory Sales Executives, including journey planning for optimal efficiency.
• Maintain stock levels at outlets, oversee POS material availability and enforce in‑store merchandising standards.
• Monitor outlet performance, collect market intelligence and report on sales, stock and customer satisfaction.
• Analyze high‑risk accounts, enforce payment compliance and keep delinquency below 20%.
• Train outlet owners/managers on product features, sales tools and warranty handling.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a fast‑growth sales environment with a proven track record of meeting targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers at all levels.
• Willingness to spend an average of five days per week in the field.
• Valid Ugandan driving licence.
