Area Manager – Regional Program Lead

About the role

The Area Manager will lead the implementation of Raising The Village’s programs across selected districts in Uganda, ensuring that outreach and impact targets are met while aligning with the organization’s vision and funding obligations. This senior position reports to the Head of Implementation and requires extensive travel within the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute area‑specific strategies to address ultra‑poverty and promote sustainable development goals.
• Oversee program design, implementation, and evaluation for all districts within the area.
• Ensure timely execution of project lifecycles, manage budgets, and mitigate risks.
• Serve as senior liaison with district and local government officials.
• Support resource planning, staff allocation, and facility management in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to annual program reviews.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in program management, implementation, or related fields.
• Proven leadership in mentoring, coaching, and building high‑performing teams.
• Strong ability to align regional objectives with organizational mission.
• Experience working with government partners and NGOs in low‑resource settings.
