Associate Manager – Facilities Management

About the role

The Associate Manager – Facilities Management supports the Facility Manager in planning, executing, and communicating maintenance activities across MAF Retail’s head office in Uganda. You will ensure that all assets remain operational and compliant with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, scheduling, and reporting future maintenance activities in coordination with stores and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee store inspections according to annual maintenance plans and contractual agreements.
• Monitor maintenance work to guarantee delivery on time and to required standards.
• Report on contractor performance and drive timely resolutions.
• Manage inventory of consumables and critical spare parts to ensure constant availability.
• Provide rapid incident support and take initiative during emergencies.
• Compile and maintain documentation related to maintenance and equipment activities.
• Assist in reporting and recommend improvement areas when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in the retail sector.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Strong initiative, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Effective problem‑solving capabilities.
