Audit Associate – Professional Services

About the role

As an Audit Associate you will support the audit team in delivering high‑quality audit engagements for Deloitte’s clients in Uganda, ensuring timely and accurate work on a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of audit engagements in your area of competency.
• Identify client needs, technical issues and propose appropriate resolutions.
• Raise issues to seniors and managers that may affect quality or timelines.
• Maintain quality and timely delivery in line with service level agreements.
• Build business relationships, generate leads and assist in winning follow‑on work.
• Prepare client presentations and discussion documentation.
• Manage engagement risk according to Deloitte policies.
• Communicate work status clearly with engagement team members.
• Maintain personal development and knowledge in the audit field.
• Comply with auditing and accounting standards, local laws, ethical standards and firm quality controls.

Required profile

• Upper Second class Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 16 points at ‘A’ Level (or equivalent).
• First grade at ‘O’ Level with at least credit 3 in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Studying towards ACCA, CPA Uganda or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Experience in a professional services firm is a plus.
• Ugandan citizenship or eligibility to work in Uganda.
