Branch Manager – Central Office

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead the Central Office in Kampala, driving revenue growth and enhancing the company’s market presence across Uganda. This senior position oversees sales, underwriting, claims and customer service functions to ensure profitability and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to generate revenue across all business lines and achieve branch targets.
• Manage pipeline and quotation processes, aiming for high conversion and an 85% renewal retention rate.
• Onboard new intermediaries, open new distribution channels and expand market share.
• Ensure prudent underwriting and proactive claims oversight to maintain acceptable loss ratios.
• Lead cross‑selling and upselling initiatives to diversify the product portfolio.
• Gather market intelligence, support tender negotiations and provide competitive quotation inputs.
• Motivate and train sales, marketing and advisory teams through regular huddles, product training and performance reviews.
• Prepare regular performance reports and contribute to branch strategic planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in branch or regional management within insurance or financial services.
• Strong track record of revenue generation and meeting sales targets.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable plans.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
