Building Management Systems Engineer

About the role

The Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer will design, engineer, configure, program, test, commission and maintain Honeywell‑based BMS solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC controls, energy management and integration of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems into centralized monitoring platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop BMS architecture for commercial, industrial, healthcare, airport, data‑center and institutional projects, producing schematics, network diagrams, I/O schedules and technical submittals.
• Configure and program Honeywell Alerton, Centraline and Niagara Framework controllers, graphics, alarms, trends, schedules and reports.
• Integrate HVAC, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV, ventilation, electrical, power monitoring, UPS, generators, lighting, plumbing, fire & life safety, elevators, access control, CCTV, EMS and data‑center environmental monitoring systems.
• Conduct factory and site acceptance tests, perform point‑to‑point testing, troubleshoot communication issues and ensure compliance with approved sequences of operation.
• Coordinate with MEP contractors, consultants, OEMs and clients, attend technical meetings and prepare progress and commissioning documentation.
• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance, software backups, system upgrades and remote/on‑site technical support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in design, programming, testing and commissioning of Honeywell BMS platforms.
• Ability to manage projects independently from design through handover.
• Familiarity with international standards and project specifications.

Required skills

• Honeywell Alerton and Centraline platforms.
• Niagara Framework (where applicable).
• Communication protocols: BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, TCP/IP.
• HVAC control systems and energy‑management logic.
• HMI/SCADA graphical interface development.
• Testing and commissioning procedures (FAT, SAT).
