About the role

The Cambridge IGCSE Programme Coordinator will lead the Year 10–11 IGCSE programme across all examined subjects at ISU. This senior position is responsible for the full exam cycle, timetable, and coordination of subject leads, ensuring high‑quality delivery and smooth transitions to A‑Level or IB pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Y10–Y11 academic calendar, exam‑entry deadlines and CIE candidate registrations.
• Line‑manage 14 subject leads and coordinate weekly subject‑area meetings.
• Quality‑assure mock‑exam papers and analyse cohort outcomes against the previous three years.
• Counsel students and parents on subject combinations and A‑Level/IB transitions.
• Lead the IGCSE strand of the annual self‑evaluation and external accreditation review.
• Oversee the IGCSE timetable and mock‑exam cycle.

Required profile

• Postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
• Five+ years teaching a Cambridge IGCSE subject, with at least two years as subject lead or year‑group lead.
• Demonstrable record of cohort‑level outcomes at A* / A.
• Working understanding of the IB Diploma transition pathway from IGCSE.
• Nice to have: CIE examiner or moderator experience; A‑Level coordination experience.

Required skills
