About the role

Axel Uganda Limited is seeking a skilled carpenter to join its construction team in Kamwokya. The role involves working on a variety of building projects, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and compliance with design specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials accurately.
• Build frameworks including walls, floors, doors, windows, and staircases.
• Install structures such as cabinets, drywall, siding, and insulation.
• Inspect and repair damaged structures when needed.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure projects meet building codes, safety regulations, and design expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors, subcontractors, and team members to complete projects on time.

Required profile

• Mid‑level carpenter with at least 24 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications.
• Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship.

Required skills

• Interpretation of blueprints and technical drawings.
• Accurate measurement, cutting, and shaping of wood and drywall.
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.
• Installation of cabinets, drywall, siding, and insulation.
• Inspection and repair of structural components.
