Chief Engineer – Gas Shipping Vessels

About the role
We are seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engine room operations on our gas shipping vessels. The role involves managing daily activities, ensuring optimal condition of machinery, and supporting the fleet’s transition to sustainable operations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the engine room team on a daily basis.
- Maintain close contact with the technical department to keep the engine room in optimal condition.
- Plan operational maintenance and prepare repair periods.
- Conduct risk assessments for unexpected circumstances and advise vessel/fleet management.
- Participate in the onboard management team and oversee the development and assessment of engineers.
Required profile
- All mandatory STCW training.
- Advanced Gas Tanker certificate.
- Good command of English.
- Experience working with mixed‑nationality crews.
