Child Protection Project Manager

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking an experienced Child Protection Project Manager to lead the DK Media child protection project in Rhino Camp and Imvepi refugee settlements. You will design, implement and monitor high‑quality protection interventions for refugees and host communities, ensuring compliance with DRC standards and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all project activities in line with DRC Project Cycle Management and donor compliance.
• Ensure quality delivery of child protection prevention, case management, alternative care for UASC, positive parenting and adolescent life‑skills programmes.
• Produce timely narrative and financial reports in collaboration with programme and finance teams.
• Collaborate with government authorities, UN agencies, implementing partners and community stakeholders to maximise impact and sustainability.
• Support the Protection Specialist in developing operational tools and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum five years (60 months) of experience in child protection project management, preferably in humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of refugee response contexts, especially in West Nile, Uganda.
• Proven ability to work with multiple partners, donors and government bodies.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and coordination skills.
