Child Protection Project Manager

About the role

The Child Protection Project Manager will lead the implementation of the DK Media child protection project in Rhino Camp and Imvepi refugee settlements. Reporting to the Country Protection Manager, the role ensures high‑quality protection interventions for refugees and host communities, coordinating with government, UN agencies and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and monitor project activities in line with DRC Project Cycle Management guidelines and donor requirements.
• Ensure quality delivery of child protection prevention activities, including awareness‑raising, positive parenting and adolescent life‑skills sessions.
• Oversee case management for unaccompanied and separated children, applying SOPs, national guidelines and Inter‑Agency standards.
• Implement best‑interest procedures and alternative‑care arrangements for UASC.
• Prepare timely narrative and financial reports in collaboration with programme development and finance teams.
• Develop operational tools and standard operating procedures together with the Protection Specialist.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the West Nile refugee response context.
• Experience coordinating multi‑stakeholder humanitarian programmes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government authorities, UN agencies, implementing partners and community stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
