Child Protection Project Manager

About the role

The Child Protection Project Manager will lead the implementation of the Danish Refugee Council’s child protection programme in Rhino Camp and Imvepi refugee settlements. The role ensures high‑quality prevention and response interventions for both refugee and host‑community children.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and monitor project activities in line with the DRC Project Cycle Management guide and donor requirements.
• Ensure quality delivery of child protection prevention actions, including awareness‑raising, positive parenting and adolescent life‑skills sessions.
• Oversee case management for unaccompanied and separated children, applying DRC SOPs, national guidelines and Inter‑Agency standards.
• Implement Best Interests Procedures and arrange appropriate alternative care for UASC.
• Produce timely narrative and financial reports in collaboration with programme development and finance teams.
• Foster collaboration with government authorities, UN agencies, implementing partners and community stakeholders to maximise impact and sustainability.

Required profile

• Highly qualified and motivated individual with experience in humanitarian child protection programmes.
• Strong understanding of the West Nile refugee response context.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑partner coordination and ensure compliance with donor and organisational standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
