About the role
We are seeking a proficient Chinese Translator to join our team in Kamwokya. The role involves bridging communication between our English‑speaking management and Chinese‑speaking partners, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate translation of all business materials.
Key responsibilities
- Translate business documents, contracts, policies, and training manuals between Chinese and English.
- Interpret for senior management during high‑level meetings, site visits, and negotiations with suppliers or government officials.
- Localise company Standard Operating Procedures to make them clear for local staff.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of professional translation or interpretation experience.
- Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English with strong written and oral skills.
- Familiarity with business terminology in retail, fashion, and FMCG sectors.
Required skills
- Excellent command of Chinese (Mandarin) and English languages.
What we offer
- Competitive monthly salary between UGX 1,500,000 and UGX 2,000,000.
- Full‑time permanent position based in Kamwokya, Uganda.
