About the role
The Civic Growth Intern will support the Institute for Youth in Policy’s mission to drive cross‑sector civic change among young people. Working within the Center for Civic Growth and the PIVOT Center, the intern will help connect staff, fellows, and external partners to real‑world projects. This is a part‑time, 2‑5 hour per week position based in Kamwokya, Uganda.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with alumni relations activities, including tracking alumni, outreach, and event support.
- Support partnership development by linking current projects with external organizations.
- Contribute to PIVOT Center initiatives, helping youth create impactful media and policy content.
- Help execute special projects, providing feedback and logistical support to fellows.
Required profile
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Critical thinking about global problems and civic solutions.
- Interest in at least one focus area: alumni relations, special projects, or partnerships.
