Commercial & Finance Trainee (2-Year Programme)

About the role

The two‑year Volcafe trainee programme offers hands‑on learning across the entire coffee business, starting in Uganda with the possibility of global rotations. Trainees rotate through core and elective modules such as sourcing, production, quality, trading, logistics, sustainability and finance, building the knowledge and skills needed for a future career at Volcafe.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in sourcing and purchasing activities across the coffee supply chain.
• Support production operations, quality control, trading and logistics functions.
• Assist with sustainability initiatives and finance‑related projects.

Required profile

• BA or MBA in Business, Finance, Economics or International Trade.
• Citizenship or permanent residency in Uganda, Tanzania or Kenya with a valid passport.
• Willingness to relocate globally on short notice and work flexible hours.
• Driver’s licence and business‑level English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI (desirable).
