Communication Officer

About the role

The Communication Officer will design and implement information and communication strategies that support the organization’s programmes and projects. This role combines strategic planning, visual design, and content creation to enhance both internal and external communication across diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Create guidelines for internal communication tools and networking initiatives.
• Design high‑quality graphics for reports and publications using InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
• Document project stories, archive photographs, and maintain social‑media channels.
• Act as event rapporteur, taking minutes and producing concise summaries.
• Produce professional photography, videography, and 3D animation for external communication.
• Ensure visual assets meet standards for publication and outreach.

Required profile

• Degree in Mass Communications, Development Communication, Journalism or a related field.
• Proven experience in strategic communications planning, preferably with international NGOs or consultancy projects.
• Strong writing ability and experience producing written content for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team, manage multiple tasks, and travel frequently within the implementation area.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Professional photography and videography skills.
• Experience with 3D animation production.
