Communications Coordinator – Uganda

About the role

The Communications Coordinator will lead the implementation of TREES Uganda’s communications strategy, working closely with program teams and the regional Marketing and Communications team. The role focuses on strengthening internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor visibility, branding, and public‑engagement initiatives for TREES Uganda.
• Produce high‑quality communication materials, including writing, documentation, photography, videography, archiving, packaging, and dissemination of success stories and impact narratives.
• Coordinate media relations, campaigns, events, and other public‑facing initiatives to enhance stakeholder engagement and public awareness.
• Act as the primary liaison between TREES Uganda, media, partners, donors, and the public to ensure consistent brand representation.
• Support project teams in developing evidence‑based, audience‑appropriate key messages and IEC materials.
• Coordinate advocacy, visibility, and influencing initiatives in line with country strategy and donor priorities.

Required profile

• Strong background in communications, media relations, and public engagement.
• Experience working with program teams, donors, and external partners.
• Ability to produce compelling written and visual content.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
