Communications Manager

About the role

The Communications Manager will lead all internal and external communications for Centre Church, translating theological concepts into clear, engaging messages that support the church’s mission, vision and values. Working closely with the media team and ministry leaders, the role ensures consistent, friendly, and theologically sound communication across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy, including website, social media, and email newsletters.
• Write, edit and proof copy for digital and print media, maintaining a consistent tone.
• Manage and update the church website and create new pages as needed.
• Curate photos, stories and content from staff and volunteers for distribution.
• Coordinate communication plans, content calendars and schedules across all platforms.
• Lead volunteer teams to produce content and oversee project timelines.
• Create marketing plans for events and campaigns, including paid advertising.
• Ensure all communications are theologically consistent and align with the church’s values.

Required profile

• Proven writing ability with experience maintaining a consistent tone across multiple channels.
• Strong proofreading and editing skills.
• Experience managing organic social media and paid marketing campaigns.
• Ability to translate high‑level theological ideas into everyday language.
