Community Mobilizer I

About the role

The Community Mobilizer I will deliver child protection case management for children and families affected by violence, abuse, exploitation or neglect in coffee‑farming communities across the Greater Masaka region. The role supports the implementation of the Child Rights Monitoring and Remediation System, ensuring vulnerable children receive timely assistance and safe referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and develop case plans for children at risk of or experiencing abuse, neglect, or child labour.
• Guide children and families through each stage of the case management process, from registration to closure, following standard operating procedures.
• Provide psychosocial support to children and caregivers throughout the intervention.
• Make safe referrals to essential services and monitor follow‑up to confirm service delivery.
• Maintain accurate case records and report on progress in line with organisational guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience in child protection or related case management within community settings.
• Familiarity with child rights monitoring frameworks and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and build trust with families and community members.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and adherence to zero‑tolerance policies for exploitation and abuse.
