Consultant for CHWR‑eCHIS Interoperability (2 months)

About the role
UNICEF is seeking a consultant to strengthen Uganda’s community health system by designing and implementing interoperability between the Community Health Worker Registry (CHWR) and the Electronic Community Health Information System (eCHIS). The assignment lasts two months and is based in Kampala.
Key responsibilities
- Develop APIs and data pipelines to enable seamless data exchange between CHWR and eCHIS.
- Integrate CHWR data into the national data warehouse and ensure synchronization of CHW records.
- Create analytics dashboards and geo‑referenced visualisations to support planning, supervision and performance monitoring.
- Conduct system testing, support deployment and provide capacity‑building workshops for national stakeholders.
- Document technical specifications and ensure compliance with health data standards.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics or Software Engineering.
- 5–7 years of experience in digital health systems and health information system interoperability.
- Proven track record of API development and integration with DHIS2 and data warehouses.
- Familiarity with HL7 FHIR, OpenHIE and open‑source health platforms such as CHT and OpenSRP.
- Fluent English communication skills.
