Country Operations Manager – Uganda

About the role

This senior position will lead the commercial and operational performance of a leading Ugandan out‑of‑home media company. You will own the country’s sales budget, coordinate sales, business development, operations and finance, and ensure delivery of the national advertising budget.

Key responsibilities

• Commercial Leadership – own sales targets, structure complex deals and mentor media sales staff.
• Stakeholder & Asset Management – maintain relationships with key clients and landlords, achieve 100% renewal rate and keep the site database up‑to‑date.
• Strategic Business Development – identify new opportunities, drive site acquisitions and manage council applications.
• End‑to‑End Operational Delivery – oversee flighting, printing, installations and maintenance planning.
• Financial & Procurement Control – manage payment schedules, negotiate with multiple suppliers and ensure full financial reconciliation.
• Human Resources – lead recruitment, training, performance appraisals and team discipline.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification, preferably a business degree.
• 5‑7 years of experience in out‑of‑home (OOH) or digital OOH media.
• Proven leadership and strong management capabilities.
• Excellent numeric, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong relationship‑building and crisis‑control abilities.
• Solid logistics and planning experience.
